Judicial Separation Lawyer
What is judicial separation?
Judicial separation allows spouses to live apart while the marriage remains legally in force. For Hindu marriages it is provided under Section 10 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
How it differs from divorce
Neither spouse can remarry, and the marriage continues. The court may later pass a divorce decree if the spouses do not resume cohabitation, subject to law.
When it is considered
Some people prefer it for personal, religious or practical reasons. A consultation can help you compare it with other options.
